Using a Hamburg patty press or with clean hands, shape and flatten ground beef into 1/4-1/2 inch thick patties.
One pound of ground beef will yield about 4-5 patties that are 4 inch rounds. You can make small snack size rounds. The yield will be more and the drying time may decrease by 1-2 hours depending on the dehydrator.
Line your drying racks with parchment paper or a non-stick mat for dehydrators.
Place the formed rounds on the prepared racks and place in your dehydrator.
Set machine to 160℉-165℉ and dehydrate your dog treats for 8-10 hours. Checking every few hours. The patties are done once they are dry and can be cracked apart.
