Bread Machine Beer Pizza Dough

Homemade pizza dough made with beer in the bread machine

Equipment

  • Bread machine

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup beer
  • 3 tbsp butter softened
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast

Instructions
 

  • Add ingredients in the order listed above or according to bread machine directions
  • Select dough cycle (on mine it is the leaven dough cycle)
  • Once cycle is complete, let rise in machine approx. 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenhiet
  • Oil 1-2 pizza pans.
  • For thick crust - roll dough in shape of pizza pan. Place on the prepared pan.
  • For thin crust - divide dough in half. Roll out each half, and place on prepared pizza pans.
  • Add desired sauce, cheese and toppings.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, cook until crust is a golden brown, checking frequently to ensure crust does not burn.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool 5-10 minutes. Slice and Enjoy!
