This sesame noodle recipe is perfect as a side or main dish as it can be served warm or cold which makes it so versatile. Prepared with minimal effort. The entire dish can prepped ahead of time or just the sauce be can prepped and added when ready.

There was a local noodle bar that had the best sesame noodles we have ever had. We would visit it often, and I had asked the owner how he made them so unforgettable! Of course, he never shared the “true” recipe, but after many attempts, this is closest and is now a family favorite.

Transfer cooked pasta to a large bowl. Add sauce and toss to coat. Add green onions and toss. Top with sesame seeds and serve.

Tips

This Sesame Noodle recipe is made best using angel hair pasta or other thin spaghetti . You can use regular spaghetti or a thicker noodle, but the flavor will be less as the thicker noodle will over-power the sauce.

If you like a little more spice, feel free to add another 1/2 tsp chili oil to heat things up!

For a balanced meal, serve with baked tofu (recipe 👇) and a side of sautéed, roasted or steamed veggies (Bok Choy, Napa Cabbage, and broccolini are my favorite).
