Air Fryer Bok Choy is so tasty, super easy and ready in minutes. It’s a healthy quick weeknight side or addition to any Asian dish. Or a fancy appetizer dipped in sauce.
For this recipe, baby Bok Choy works best. The leaves are more tender and stay together when in the air fryer.
You can find baby Bok Choy is most grocery stores, farmer’s markets, or local ethnic stores. I usually purchase mine at my local farmer’s marker or ethnic stores as I find the price is more reasonable and the quality is better.

How to Make Air Fryer Bok Choy

- Start by slicing just the very end of the stem of the Bok Choy, so that the stem still holds the leaves together.
- Then slice in half down the center of the bok choy.
- Rinse the bok choy thoroughly to remove any hidden dirt. I like to soak mine in a bowl of water for about 5 minutes. This helps to loosen any debris. Dry the bok choy by using a salad spinner, or pat dry with a towel.
- Next, drizzle the leaves with sesame oil, massaging into leaves to distribute evenly. Then sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Add prepared Bok Choy in a single layer to the air fryer basket. Air fry at 350 for 6 minutes. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of the basket.
- While bok choy is in the air fryer, make the dipping sauce by combining all ingredients.
- Remove the Bok Choy from the air fryer and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Serve the Air Fryer Bok Choy with dipping sauce and Enjoy!

Preparing bok choy – I like to soak my baby Bok Choy (actually all my greens) in a large bowl of water. I start by cutting the baby Bok Choy in half. I then swirl the Bok Choy in the water to release any dirt that might be trapped inside the center leaves, rinse and then soak for about 5 minutes. Then lift the Bok Choy out of the water (any particles will sink to bottom), and pat dry. If you have a salad spinner, spin for a few seconds to get out excess water before patting dry. This process helps to ensure you remove any hidden dirt/particles.
