Homemade Ranch mix using spices you most likely already have in your spice cupboard! Quick to put together and lasts up to one year in your pantry! Not to mention it tastes better than store bought mix!
Like many kids, when my daughter was little, she had to have ranch dressing with everything! God forbid if we ran out. It wasn’t until she was older that I learned how to make my own, and tweak to our liking. I wish I had this recipe back then as it would have saved us a small fortune and would have had been fresh with no additives. Now, this is a staple in the cupboard.
Easy to make and has a shelf life of 1 year. You can double or triple this batch so that you always have it on hand. Makes a perfect dip for guests, parties, or to give away as a gift!
Homemade Ranch Mix Ingredients
- Parsley, dried
- Dill, dried
- Chives, dried
- Garlic powder
- Onion powder
- Sea salt, ground fine
- Black pepper
Tips
This homemade ranch dressing mix has a shelf life of 1 year. For best results, give container a shake every now and then if not using for a while to keep ingredients from sticking together. Most store bought mixes have additives to prevent ingredients from clumping, but giving a shake will help prevent that.
I store mine in small canning spice jars. You can find them at most grocery stores, Walmart, Target or on Amazon here. If you are looking for a homemade gift to make, these. make a gift!
If some dried ingredients are large and you want them more fine, then you can simple chop or use a mortar to crush.
My dried chives are a big too large for my liking in this recipe, so I use my mortar to crush to my desired texture.
